4/27/2019 - Wow, what an awesome day!! Only celebrity I really missed was Wil Wheaton and I had a chance to meet him but blew it! Well I got to just about everyone else even if the line for Cary Elwes was way too long!! Awesome Con 2019 Over and Out!

Saturday April 27, 2019:
The celeb list was soo amazing this year! Weird Al Yankovic, the Princess Bride cast (Wallace Shawn, Cary Elwes, and Chris Sarandon), Ralph Macchio, and Phil LaMarr made it worth it for me! Going in, I prepaid the following: Photo Ops for each of these celebs, and autographs for Wallace Shawn, Cary Elwes, and Weird Al. So I had my day all planned out with photo ops for Princess Bride at 11:50, Weird Al at 12:30, Ralph Macchio at 4:10 and Phil LaMarr at 4:20. A bit nervous about the afternoon photo ops being so close together, but luckily they were in the same booth so I could just go right back in line one after the other. Upon getting to the Convention Center, had to walk forever following the crowds to get into the building, and luckily I had my badge already. I really recommend getting the badge in the mail early enough if you decide and know you are for sure going to go! It made it possible not to have to wait in that line for badges as well. Nobody checked my bag, which I thought was odd, but apparently there was a metal detector coming in that I may have missed? Finally got to the convention room at around 11 AM. My first thought was okay I need to get Weird Al to sign my book, so I went over to his booth asap and waited there for him. I was annoyed some VIPs would jump the line when I was one or two people away from the front, making it even longer. Oh well, I got my autograph and was onto my photo ops. Photo ops were a breeze and well managed this year! I was glad I got the email option as well so they were emailed upon leaving the area. I opted out on the protective sleeves as my book that Weird Al signed was big enough to protect the photos - money saved, yay! I recommend bringing your own protection (LOL) My biggest disappointment was that there were no pre-signed photos anywhere. If you pre paid for an autograph you were basically SOL if you didn't or couldn't wait in line for someone. As a result, I missed out on Cary Elwes autograph because I severely underestimated his line, it was 3 hours+ long! But I was happy to get to meet Wallace Shawn and get his autograph on my TeamUp photo! Unexpectedly, I got photo ops via my cell phone with Kate Flannery and Oscar Nunes from The Office too! Their lines were super short (non existent) during parts of the day so that was real easy. I should have said hi to Wil Wheaton but missed him and didn't see him the rest of the day, oops. The line for Greg Capullo was also too long! But I did meet Tom King. All in all, a great day but I am bummed not to get Cary's autograph or a refund for that! Would I return? If the lineup of celebrities was just right, as it was this year, and I could afford it, sure! I had lots of fun & even better that I was going solo so I don't have any future ex girlfriends in my photos, haha!
