Saturday April 4, 2015:
This was such a weird experience! We got there right about 10 PM and were told at the window that it was a sold out event. So, we started walking back to the car. Then, our friend finally texted us back, and we met up by the smokers section to at least say hi. I had a feeling there was still space inside. We saw people piling out here and there and decided to try again. We got in! How can a sold-out show un-sell out? Bizarre! At least coat check was a breeze and parking was free at the garage. The first band was okay. Pretty good for 80s playing all the classics and stuff. The next guy was a terrible DJ!! I get medleys when the sets are short, but this was a long set, totally unnecessary, and on top of that he cut out the music every two minutes to have the crowd participate! On top of all that $16 for entry was a bit steep. It was only really fun since we were with a group of people we knew. I have come to the conclusion that I just hate the Fillmore!!
