Friday April 20, 2007:
I got out of work at 6 and took the Metro back to Vienna since I had the time, then took the Metro back in. The Warner Theater was only a block away so it worked out. I got there just as the show started. They were great but it was crowded. I didn't mind the crowd so much as the fact that the seats were really close together. I barely had enough room and my leg hurt from sitting so long. The show was fun. They did some acapella songs and talked a lot. The singer mentioned he'd been going to the wrong side of the White House for years, not the front! They also joked that they were signing stuff when it should have been after the show and that they were planning on just keeping all their items and selling stuff online instead. At one point, the singer tried the drummer's set and it was funny. They also played violin and other instruments that blended together nicely. Meri Mac was great in particular. Also the new single, Walk On The Moon. There were a bunch of other songs with a fifteen minute break but no real encore. The first set was more acoustic and the second more upbeat. I was on the balcony. I left at 11 and bought a signed photo on my way out.
