Goodnight And Go
5/4/2019 - Imogen Heap was just okay tonight. I saw her in 2009 and her performance was way better then. Too much Q&A in between songs! MEH!!
Saturday May 4, 2019:

I wasn't sure to get tickets to this gig in the first place but since they announced a second night and it was Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth (basically Frou Frou, and Sigsworth also produced some early Bjork albums), I had to go! Unfair to compare this show to Zaz and all of her greatness, it was hard not to! I left home at about 7:30 and took an easy Lyft ride in getting to the venue just before 8 PM. I was so tempted to buy a signed poster for $50 (unsigned was $25) but it was raining out and for that price I felt it should have at least come with a bag so it wouldn't get wet! If it was $40 or lower I might have gone for it. This was also my first time at the Lincoln Theater although I've walked by there many times! Most of their shows are general admission so you can sit whereever you want but luckily not for this show. I was in Row S in the orchestra about 20 rows back! The music was great I just wish she didn't have to do Q&A with the audience after every single song!! I recognized First Train Home, Aha, Let Go, Goodnight & Go, and Hide & Seek. It was great to see her play the Frou Frou songs and to see her use the cool glove machines and fancy headdress. This was definitely more of a Frou Frou concert than an Imogen Heap show. Not sure I should have gone as I spent $70 for the ticket including fees (and the $20 Lyft ride) but at least I went home via Metro which was only a 5 minute wait on both the Metro end and the bus end. Phew! I think I'm a bit burnt out on concerts for a while now anyway!
