Im Getting Too Old For This
8/24/2019 - What a great day with Thirteen Towers, Spring Heeled Jack, Great Heights Band, and Kill Lincoln (round 8!)! Great venue and fun to hang out there with my buddy Nick!
Saturday August 24, 2019:

Planned this show out pretty well! Nick picked me up at about 5 PM and we drove out to UMBC the college near to the venue where he went. Neat to see the campus! We got to the venue and I loved the set up! Two stages, a bar in between, and the event was set up so that when one band finished the other would start up right away with no wait! We chatted a lot with Nick's friend Neil from college who's the singer for Great Heights Band and had a bite to eat at the bar inside. It was a bit slow service but I liked the variety, typical bar food but with a decent sushi bar too! I had a volcano roll and Nick got a burger with fries. We came back out to the stage to see Thirteen Towers who were really impressive and did a great AC/DC ska cover! I hadn't seen them in 6 years! Then we went to take a break by the tables and hung out a bit. Spring Heeled Jack came on a bit after 9 and were great I liked their track Jolene. Great Heights Band (Nick's friend Neil) was pretty good too, they played the side stage and weren't ska but played rad pop (that's what they call themselves anyway). Then Kill Lincoln came on and they were really great as always! It had been a few years since the last time I saw them and I don't know half the band anymore but I recognized a few folks! We drove back pretty late, almost midnight, and there were a bunch of ska bands earlier in the day too that we missed but it was still a really fun event and I was so glad we went! Best of luck to Kill Lincoln playing Japan in a few weeks too, awesome!!
