Although I had invited a few friends to come along nobody I knew could make it so I went solo to to this one. It was a brand new summer concert series called Wednesdays at the Wharf. I already want to go back, it was fun! Although I do wish the set time was longer, it seems 6-8 was too short and really could have been 6-9 to get a good feel for the band, they easily could have played another hour! It had been a while since I have seen them and the last few times I saw any form of the band was just Phil playing acoustically so it was refreshing to see the whole band and not in a crazy frat boy type bar in Clarendon either! So it was great to get out and enjoy the sunset over the Wharf and hear some great cover tunes! Songs included Snoop Dogg, Modern English, U2, a great Billy Joel Piano Man cover, and to end their set, Footloose! I wish parking around the Wharf was easy so I can bring my dog next time, it was so dog friendly! I took a Lyft there for $6 and a cab back for $12. Glad to see Lloyd Dobler Effect again I'm sure this won't be the last!
