We're Not Part Of Your Machine
Friday December 13, 2019:

I wasn't even sure if I was going to make it to this show given that my company holiday lunch party was the same day, but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise since I was able to get home by 2:30 PM and sleep for a few hours before the gig! I took my time coming in and used Metro and public transport this time since Lyft on a Friday and traffic and bad weather can all be a recipe for disaster. Metro worked fine and I made it to the venue in great time, by 7 PM! I wasn't sure what to make of General Admission but I had no problem scouting out a perfect spot on the balcony! I almost stayed on the main floor with the rest of the audience but so glad I decided to go to the balcony since everyone was on their feet dancing the whole show! I like to dance for a few songs but mostly sit these days so the balcony worked out for me! Tessa Violet was way better than anticipated and I liked their songs Bad Idea and Crush. It was a short set and then Misterwives were on! I had last seen them with Walk The Moon and 30 Seconds To Mars so it was nice to see them headline their own show. All their songs were so good and they played Hurricane, Coloring Outside The Lines, Machine, and Why Why Why to name a few. They ended with Our Own House and an awesome jam session walking through the crowd and starting on the balcony where I was sitting next to! I was glad to have gone despite the weather. I'm starting to really like the Lincoln Theater, great access to the Metro and it's super convenient being on the Yellow line. 2019 Over and out!!
