Saturday September 28, 2013:
The venue was almost too far at a 2 hour drive, and traffic didn't help much on the parkway either. We ended up getting there around 8:30 and missed a bit of The Evokatones set. Bummer! But what we did hear was great, which included some new covers like Ozzy's Crazy Train and Dancin With Myself. The band after The Evokatones was too loud so we checked out the restaurant above and had a bite to eat. The staff was pretty friendly and the food was okay. Kill Lincoln was great as usual. A drummer from another band filled in for them that night. I'd heard about Sick Tight Nasty Nasty but never seen them before. Apparently, they played another ska fest I had gone to but on a different day than when I was there. Well that was great to finally see them. They were really great live! We left a bit early, but it was a two hour drive back home. At least traffic was light on the way back!
