I Think God Can Explain
7/27/2002 - Splender! Yeah whatever makes me happy!
Saturday July 27, 2002:

Last night I got to attend another show thanks to DC101's DC Sessions. They host free shows every Saturday in downtown DC. The other bands that I saw were Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, and Caitlin Cary. I liked Maroon 5 the best out of the openers. They were really good! But then Gavin DeGraw sucked and Caitlin Cary were okay I guess, it was just the wrong show for them. But then Splender came on and it was all good. The mosh pit was funny, though. Splender was just not hard enough for fans to be moshing! Then the lead singer started by saying "everyone jump up and down on the count of four" and that sort of got everyone going, only about one song, though, and nothing else. I enjoyed Splender because it was a free show and I like their songs. I even have their CD Halfway Down The Sky and I really like their single Yeah Whatever. I think they need to rock harder if they're going to have a mosh pit at their shows. I got a postcard that was signed by the band. Only a handful or so were thrown out to the audience. I also liked the songs Spaceboy, and I Think God Can Explain. It was nice hanging out with my friend Andrew, too. So, not a bad show at all!
