I Feel It Slipping Away
6/17/2019 - Stabbing Westward just announced at Union Stage on 9/8! Nice!!
9/8/2019 - Stabbing Westward at Union Stage tonight!! Too bad I missed Lung but hopefully they will come back soon too!
Sunday September 8, 2019:

I was conflicted going to Stabbing Westward for a number of reasons - I hated the Union Stage venue so much the first time I went for Lucy Rose that I swore not to come back and wrote a bad review. The owner nicely reached out to me and offered me to come back which I accepted for a The Magic Numbers gig (two tickets comped plus dinner) but as it was the first week of a new job and a weeknight, I decided not to even come back. Plus, Lung was playing the Comet Ping Pong place in NW DC the same night as Stabbing Westward. I had one other option to maybe drive up to Harrisburg to see the show on Saturday night, a 2 hour drive from DC, but as I'm not really familiar with that area I decided against that option. I ended up buying a ticket for Lung too but skipped them and ended up at Stabbing Westward! I'm still not completely sold on the venue, even Chris had difficulty getting the sound right with the sound guy. He looked so frustrated onstage there! But they played their hearts out and it was great to see the Darkest Days album played out. I was disappointed the backdrop didn't have an image of the Darkest Days album but the images portrayed were all pretty cool! The Rememerables opened up and they kind of sucked, they were pretty talented instrumentally but the singer totally ruined it. Oh well I only saw half their set. Finally Stabbing Westward came on! The set was pretty similar to the last time I saw them at Baltimore Soundstage but with more Darkest Days instead of Ungod. Slipping Away and Torn Apart were highlights for me. Annoying that Chris introduced What Do I Have To Do with asking the crowd if we were ready for a new song? Ha! Nothing, Save Yourself, and Shame, were all so good too. Everything was great this time! I didn't get to see Chris which was sad because he had dyed his hair blonde these days so that would have been fun to get a pic with him now, but I can't complain as I have a pic with him and his autograph in my book too! But still I was glad I got to go, so much fun today indeed!!
