The Pledge Of Allegiance Tour 2001
9/4/2001 - A new System Of A Down album! Wohoo!
Tuesday October 16, 2001:

Just before my birthday, I got to see the Pledge of Allegiance Tour with System of a Down, Slipknot, and Rammsetin in Baltimore. I set it up so a buddy would drive me and my friend back to DC. It worked out pretty well but we didn't sit with my buddy, we had floor tickets and he was at the bleachers. We got there just as Rammstein started playing, early, and nothing like we had seen them in July earlier that year. A bit surprising but still a good show. System of a Down played pretty early, unfortunately it was Slipknot who headlined that show. Slipknot was... interesting. Not my favorite for sure. But they had a cool hexagram for a drum set that lifted off and almost vertical as their drummer was playing it. I remember two other things about Slipknot. 1. It was right after 9/11 and the singer was talking something about spreading love at this time of hate, then they played a song called People=Shit. Okay.... Then 2. There were just way too many people in that band. Not sure what or why some of the members were even there on stage, what the hell were they doing... oh well. Still a fun show and glad to see all the bands that performed that night!
