HFStival At RFK In 1999, A Festival To Remember
9/25/1999 - What an insane lineup today! So excited for everything, especially The Chemical Brothers.
Saturday September 25, 1999:

This was such an amazing day. I went with my friend Adam and we had a blast! We got there early enough in time to catch a bit of Filter. Powerman 5000 and Fuel were also fun. It was great to see Long Beach Dub Allstars up close right after Staind. This was just before Staind got really huge so that was cool seeing them on a small stage and I got in front row for Long Beach Dub Allstars, a Sublime side project. Had to be lifted out because crowd got too rough up there so I went over to see 311 on the main stage. Got to see The Chemical Brothers live which was amazing and also funny because everyone else was waiting for Limp Bizkit and really confused by the techno and electronic beats. I was having a blast dancing to them though and the visuals were awesome, a camera running through the forest in different colors is one of the visuals I remember. Bush was awesome as well especially with the lighters coming out at twilight for Glycerine. Though earlier in the day, it was great to see Bis there, a quirky pop band. Such a fun day and I was glad to get home early during Limp Bizkit's set to avoid the rush home. One of my other friends was supposed to come and got pissed when I scalped his ticket, but oh well. All in all it was a great day and a great introduction to the genius of festivals, oh and super cool to see Run DMC as a surprise guest too!
