VA Ska Fest 2015!!
7/25/2015 - The Toasters & The Slackers, VA Ska Fest '15!
Saturday July 25, 2015:

Wow what a way to celebrate two years with my girlfriend! We planned this one out pretty well allowing ourselves enough time to get to the hotel with traffic from DC to Fredericksburg and checking out a historic battlefield museum to start the weekend off. It was a bit sketchy coming up on the site because the venue was a brewery in the middle of a bunch of warehouses in the middle of nowhere, but it was really a cool spot after all! The food was meh, though, only a couple of food trucks, but the bands were great! We missed Friday so we could have a nice dinner to ourselves but if we had gone Friday we could have caught the Snails, Spring Heeled Jack, Murphy's Kids, and the Pietasters. We'd both seen Murphy's Kids and the Pietasters, so we went Saturday instead. Eastern Standard Time was a great opening act! The Slackers were amazing as usual and we especially enjoyed I Still Love You and the Misfits cover Attitude. The Toasters were amazing as always and did all their hits. Pirate Radio, Social Security, Weekend In LA, Decision At Midnight (played at midnight!), Don't Let The Bastards Grind You Down, and Two Tone Army and Secret Agent Man. Seriously, you cannot get a better setlist! So much fun. Got a couple of nods for my Kill Lincoln shirt and we both ended up getting Toasters shirts. Great to see Kyle around as he's usually in and about the ska scene. So glad we did this instead of Little Boots. Plus we got to see some cool historic sites the next day too. Fun times all around!!
