1/9/2016 - That was really cool to see the 9:30 Club Worlds Fair in all its glory! What a fun event!

Saturday January 9, 2016:
Although it felt weird being at the 9:30 Club and not actually seeing a concert, it was still cool all the same! This was a big event for them as they were celebrating 35 years in business, 20 since being at this location having moved buildings once before. We got to see everything there, including ticket stubs from the first shows there, photos of all the staff, video montages of various concerts, including legends that played there time and again. Highlights included seeing the back room area with James Brown's hairdresser still there, Thievery Corporation and Fugazi's instruments onstage (and being onstage as well!), the Garbage video room, and getting a cool Worlds Fair T shirt. I was a bit bummed they were only selling the book there as I had mine preordered. Also it would have been nice to have more of a timeline there of events, it seemed a bit disjointed. But it was cool to see Smashing Pumpkins setlists, Scott Weiland's, and various other cool artifacts throughout the venue. Fun times!
