| 5/21/2016 - U St Music Hall has got to stop booking shows on club nights so often. Blaqk Audio was so early we missed the first few songs cause we were across the street at dinner!

Saturday May 21, 2016:
I hadn't even thought to check out the set times for the Blaqk Audio show and figured we had scheduled everything appropriately. The Preakness at 6 PM, hop over to U St for dinner across the street at Dukem, and make it there in time for Blaqk Audio by 9 PM. When we rolled in around 8:45, Blaqk Audio had already played three songs, and were on their new single, Anointed! What? Apparently, U St Music Hall booked the concert crazy early to make room for DJs after. Oops! We still had fun though, and it felt like we were backstage where we were. But the venue packed so many people in that it felt like the Rock N Roll Hotel all over again! I had been to U St Music Hall once before but that was 4 years ago and only for a club night, never for a concert. It just didn't seem like they had the space for a huge show and they really didn't. It would have been better at the 9:30 Club, or even Baltimore Soundstage. We met the singer Travis from Night Riots after the show and we weren't entirely sure who he was since we missed their whole set. Now we're fans of them too! At least the night wasn't a total loss!
