Nine Inch Nails Tension Tour 2013
Enter Review Update:
Nine Inch Nails was a long time coming for sure. Of course, I wish I'd seen them sooner in their career, preferably around the Downward Spiral days, but it was still pretty cool. We booked a hotel right across the venue too. Unfortunately, we missed the opening act, but got there just in time for Nine Inch Nails with only a 5 minute wait. I was disappointed not to hear Closer, Burn, and Only. Of the songs they played, I enjoyed Copy Of A, Terrible Lie, March Of The Pigs, Piggy, A Warm Place, The Hand That Feeds. Wish was my highlight of the show and Head Like A Hole. They closed with Hurt. The lights were amazing, although a bit strobe heavy. There could have been a bit more crowd interaction, but we weren't exactly in the pit. We had great seats in section 214, row A, like having balcony seats. Trent did mention how he was reminded of their first gig in DC at the old 930 Club where they opened for Skinny Puppy, their heroes. Glad we survived the show!
