Send Me On My Way
Enter Review Update:
I had last seen Rusted Root about ten years ago in Atlanta, so it was a bit of a blast from the past to see Michael Glabicki again! The Lyft ride over was pretty decent and we picked up a shared passenger coming in from Nashville visiting DC for the weekend. Luckily the airport traffic wasn't too bad. I always worry when I do shared Lyft because most of the time other passengers hop in from the airport or the Wharf, both of which are basically huge traffic jams. I generally like the DC City Winery. They have some really great shows, but the main room was taken up by Rachel Yamagata, so this time I was in the Wine Garden, a smaller back room upstairs with a huge pole blocking the bar seating. The first set was mostly newer songs like Hands Are Law, Welcome To My Party, and Blue Diamonds. He did do a great rendition of Beautiful People which I loved! For the encore he and Dirk Miller played a great Send Me On My Way and Ecstasy! Overall it was a lot of fun and I was glad to have gone, because I was a little wary going to a show right before I see the Gin Blossoms the same weekend! My Lyft driver on the way home was nuts though, it was his first day on the job and he missed the turn for 395 and we ended up taking 695 all the way almost to Maryland and he was apologizing the entire way! I contacted Lyft and got a $10 refund!
