Stray Cat Strut
Enter Review Update:
Even though I hadn't really listened to the Stray Cats in forever, I still bought a ticket when I passed by a Wolf Trap booth a few months ago wandering around Crystal City since there was no service charge when buying directly from them so my ticket was only $55 in total! I was still debating whether to go or not up until the night of the show but I actually got home with plenty of time, I left work at 4:45 and made it home by about 5:30, enough time to walk the dog and even have dinner at home before the show too! Taking the toll road was easy and it only took about a half hour to get there from home without traffic! James Hunter was kind of a boring opener to me, meh. A really short performance too, only about a half hour long set! Stray Cats came on a little before 9 PM. Songs included Cat Fight, Three Time's A Charm, Gene and Eddie, When Nothing's Going Right, and Bring It Back Again. They played Stray Cat Strut pretty early on which was great! I was bummed to miss Rock This Town but there was just so much lightning and I was still a bit jaded from the sever flood we had a month prior to the show this past July. So they had a sign up on the jumbo video saying Lawn Patrons advised to seek shelter - that was it. Kind of made me mad they didn't do more like set up tents or something! I was so glad I was in house on the balcony loge area and not on the lawn! I made it home okay but 66 did get bad enough that I had to pull over and go down route 7 to 395 instead (probably takes the same time too without traffic). I just wish Wolf Trap would have been a bit more helpful in the storm!
