Hanging On For Dear Life
Enter Review Update:
We took a Lyft there which was about $50 but nice not to have to worry about driving in. No traffic which was also nice. Got to the club just as Whole Damn Mess was starting. My girlfriend really liked Whole Damn Mess, I thought they were good, too. Their song Some Big Something was great and I liked their Rolling Stones cover You Can't Always Get What You Want. The waiter left us a bottle when I only ordered two glasses so I was happy about that! I got a salad and cheese platter too. Then Candlebox came on finally and they were great! Highlights included Change, Blossom, He Calls Home, Riptide, Cover Me, You, and of course Far Behind. I was glad Hady at least knew Far Behind. Hady told me a story of how she was caught in a riptide once, how scary! They closed out with a great cover of Led Zeppelin's Goin To California which was really sweet live. Kevin commented on a lady's outfit since it was very similar to his wife's clothing line. When we were leaving the venue, the Lyft was pricey and actually ended up not able to get to us because there was a shooting in the area so a bunch of blocks around us were roped off. We canceled and got into a fun conversation with some folks going to our area so we bummed a ride with them. They were super nice!! I was happy to return the favor as their card wasn't working in the garage and we were able to use mine to get out. Glad we were all able to get home okay and Kevin even came out as we were waiting and took photos with everyone, so that was fun!!
