Some Things 8/25/2012
There are things I wish I could tell her, things we always meant to do.
But I know I can't stick to what I ought to, which is that of only a few.
It's been a while since I've seen her smile.
It's been even longer since I've seen mine.
I've always been skipping around land minds.
Someday soon, I'll throw that coin into that well, just to keep her heaven away from my hell.
Like in a game of minesweeper, one wrong move could cost me my lucky groove.
Today may be nice but will tomorrow's ice ever replace the fire from my vice?
I'll have to think about it.
When the sun goes down I'll turn that frown, well, back into that long forgotten smile.
All the while, she'll be gone and we'll be done.
No longer won.
No longer one.
No longer on.
