3/30/2018 - Lucy Rose tonight at Union Stage!!

Friday March 30, 2018:
I had been wanting to see Lucy Rose since I missed her gig at the 9:30 Club back on her first album tour years ago, so this was a bucket list show for me for sure! I was also a bit curious how Union Stage would shape up to be since it was such a new club. My biggest gripe with Union Stage was that there were no chairs! You would think they would set the place up like The Birchmere with chairs and tables for dinner service. They didn't even have chairs by the bar!! Too bad nobody from the Meetup group came by even though one couple said yes. Charlie Cunningham was okay but the English part of the show made me wish it was Just Jack performing. Lucy Rose was great and played Shiver towards the end and Like An Arrow too. One of her newer songs, Morai, was also good. It was nice that she seemed so receptive to fans as well. Not a bad show, just wish Union Stage would realize chairs and tables aren't a bad thing!
