Mousetrap 4/18/2000
The past is chosen on all sides of an eternity.
To feel it coming in the midst of the war.
Into pieces, the peace is.
Great knowledge of mind a bit of the heart.
Into the hearse and under the ground.
Believe that what is behind.
Look ahead in the now but forever there is.
Nothing to believe but what is.
Forget now but believe the dust in life.
The tears in someone's eyes.
The corner of two walls adjacent.
Mousetrap, in the middle of it all.
Waiting to catch a mouse by its tail with a ball of cheese stuck to the side.
Whiskers pointy, smile upright.
Life, an eternity, or so it seems.
Believe in what and who.
Where and how too late to forget, what.
Let it out.
To be inspired by someone.
To let someone into a life, even if for just a little while.
Lucky for them!
Grin solid.
Forced laughter.
One forty eight, time to go.
Two fifty three, too late.
Three fifty four, stepping outside into the night.
Time slips by the sand of the hourglass, the heart of the eyes.
The love and the laughter ricochet into the sky above.
Rain precipitates in response just to compliment the storm.
The war, an eternity, just to believe in someone.
Sing the song to tomorrow but never for today.
To be inspired, a mouse.
The keys tap complimentary, in contemplation, and in completion.
