Chris Bruno & The Lloyd Dobler Effect
10/14/2009 - Just saw Lloyd Dobler Effect again. It made me feel old. I should probably wait until after my birthday for things that make me feel old.
Wednesday October 14, 2009:

I went over to Jammin Java to check out Maia Sharp open up for The Lloyd Dobler Effect. This makes the sixth time I've seen LDE, but it was more Chris Bruno presents LDE this time around. Maia Sharp was pretty good but her and her friend sounded more like the Indigo Girls. She even said the Dixie Chicks produced some of her songs (so go figure). It wasn't horrible, just not my thing. LDE was a lot of fun, for what they are, they've changed so much it just made me feel old though. I know it was a rare thing to have Chris Bruno be frontman for an evening, but it was still odd. The covers chosen were Imagine by John Lennon and When The Lights Go Out In The City by Journey. Still a decent night for $12, if only to hear Chris's marathon stories and to "hang out" with the band again.
