5/18/2016 - I asked Moby tonight what his favorite Simpsons episode is. He answered Much Apu About Nothing (S7E23) and Lisa The Vegetarian (S7E5).
Wednesday May 18, 2016:

It was really exciting for me to attend a cultural event, talk rather, for Moby at the 6th and I Synagogue in Washington DC. I'd seen Moby live twice before and have even met him the first time I saw him. At this event he wasn't playing any music but talking about his new book release, a memoir called Porcelain. At the last minute, my girlfriend decided to come too, since it wasn't sold out yet and I was able to save her a seat! He discussed a lot of interesting things about his life and how even Larry King said that out of all the people Larry King had interviewed Moby was definitely an odd one. He really stressed how his purpose in life wasn't music but animal activism, went into detail about his alcoholism and how he got sober, and his thoughts on God (and puppies). I loved hearing about the lost brother and Karl Rove story especially. The Q&A session was great and I asked him what his favorite Simpsons episodes are. He replied with Much Apu About Nothing and Lisa The Vegetarian both from season 7. Roxanne asked him about how he stayed sober in such a turmoil environment being a pop star, he said he was surprised too and pointed out how he played with Amy Winehouse the very day she died, and how he outlasted Benecio Del Toro drinking alcohol, and how at one point he lived around the corner from Heath Ledger. Pretty interesting stuff. We got his book signed at the event and I even asked him to sign my concert book. I wasn't supposed to have him sign anything but his new memoir, so it was really sweet of him to sign it for me.
