3/9/2001 (Friday), Day 60:
Today was about as perfect as they come here. I was off to Moncloa early enough in the morning after getting up at 7:30 AM. I was the first one there by the bus stop! Leonie showed up and we waited for Neil. He was running late since they went to Cats bar the night before. Still drunk but he was set to go skiing as was Leonie and I too! We got to the mountain, Valdeski, around 11 AM and on the slopes by noon. It was an hour and a half away from Madrid and felt weird to be so far outside the city. At least we were able to ski! Neil and Leonie couldn't get over how good I was skiing! We stopped around 3 because it was raining and the conditions weren't the best but overall the trip was worth it. It was really fun to be able to buy a beer out of a vending machine in the lodge as well. So cool! What a great day, although the bus driver we passed on the way back to our own bus who was watching porn was a bit creepy for sure!
