The Toasters At The Iota Club With Kill Lincoln!
4/19/2013 - The Toasters are coming to Iota June 13! Yay! Today I took the bus to work one last time and wore the same sweater I was the first day of my job, 2/14/2011.
6/6/2013 - Just noticed that Kill Lincoln is opening up for The Toasters next week on Thursday at Iota. Gonna be an awesome show!
6/12/2013 - Super excited for Kill Lincoln and The Toasters tomorrow at the Iota even though I've seen both bands!
6/13/2013 - The Toasters never disappoint!
Thursday June 13, 2013:

So I just got back from seeing The Toasters for the fourth time and I loved every minute of it! When I found out Kill Lincoln was opening, I got even more excited for the show! I've grown quite fond of Kill Lincoln as the first time I saw them was also with The Toasters (and The Evokatones) so this show was going to be pretty familiar to me! I was curious how it would work at the Iota Club, being a smaller venue, and being closer in to the city. It did work, though! Surprisingly, a few people even danced to Kill Lincoln too! Kill Lincoln played their usual set including one of my favorites, Brick, and another, their cover of Operation Ivy's Knowledge. When it was finally time for The Toasters, they had the whole venue dancing and skanking away! I was in the front row for most of it with all the other folks just dancing the night away. They played all their great songs including a new single. Songs included Weekend In LA, Two Tone Army, and right before their encore, they played Decision At Midnight (my personal favorite) and Don't Let The Bastards Grind You Down (another favorite). Their encore set was awesome since each member had a killer solo, the keyboardist was great, the saxophonist, and the trombonist, too. I had a drink with Matt from Kill Lincoln right before their set and after the set, Alan sold me a Kill Lincoln CD for $5 because I didn't have the extra $2. All in all, even though I thought the $14 ticket was kinda pricey, it was still a really fun night. It had been way too long!
