This was a pretty good year for music! A new Her Space Holiday is always welcome. Atmosphere, Psapp, and oh yes, The Music! This year I made it to New York City to visit my brother and we got to see Outlandish. I also saw a cool local band called Trees On Fire. 2008 was a pretty good year for music after all. Honestly, I didn't find out about Into The Sun until sometime after, but damn is that album amazing! And The Music... Strength In Numbers should have been way bigger than it was. Oh well, some bands just remind you that yes, 2008 did exist, and we didn't jump from 1998 to 2018 without skipping random decades after all.

2008 TOP 10 ALBUMS

Google Her Space Holiday
1. Her Space Holiday - XOXO Panda And The New Kid Revival (10/7/2008)
My Crooked Crown is probably my favorite from Her Space Holiday. The World Will Deem Us Dangerous is also really good!

Google Atmosphere
2. Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold (4/22/2008)
Guarantees is probably my favorite Atmosphere song ever!

Google Death Cab For Cutie
3. Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs (5/12/2008)
I'm not a huge Death Cab fan except for this album. Every track hits it way out of the water, especially I Will Possess Your Heart and Cath. The Ice Is Getting Thinner is also one of my favorites. Every song from this album is just so special to me.

Google Psapp
4. Psapp - The Camels Back (10/27/2008)
Screws and I Want That are great!

Google Messiah J And The Expert
5. Messiah J And The Expert - From The Word Go (10/17/2008)
Jean Is Planning An Escape is my favorite Messiah J song! Amnesia Comes Easily is also so very good!

Google The Music
6. The Music - Strength In Numbers (6/4/2008)
Too many damn good songs to list. I love them all!

Google William Control
7. William Control - Hate Culture (10/28/2008)
Almost generic, but it works. Hate Culture, Beautiful Loser, Tranquilize, Cemetery, Don't Cry For Me. Yup.

Google Local H
8. Local H - Twelve Angry Months (5/13/2008)
Scott's breakup must have been rough, but led to this album. One song for each month. Clever. I'll be listening to this one for a long time.

Google Carolines Spine
9. Carolines Spine - Work It Out (9/16/2008)
Caroline's Spine is one of those bands you've probably heard before but never knew who they were. I'm glad I remember them! They really rock!

Google Candlebox
10. Candlebox - Into The Sun (7/22/2008)
Candlebox can do no wrong! This album is amazing. Consider Us is great!!

2008 HONORABLE MENTIONS

1. The B-52s - Funplex (3/26/2008)
The same B-52's but without any real hits.

Employment was better. Way better.

Google Shiny Toy Guns
3. Shiny Toy Guns - Season Of Poison (11/4/2008)
They suck without Carah Faye, but Ghost Town is still decent.

Gets old too quick.

Google Vampire Weekend
5. Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend (1/29/2008)
