In 2003 I was listening to the likes of Clawfinger, Finger Eleven, Yellowcard, The White Stripes, and The Rasmus. A still recent college grad then, I did manage to make it out to see Local H at The Black Cat, Everclear at 9:30 Club, and Heart at Wolf Trap. Not bad!

2003 TOP 10 ALBUMS

Google Clawfinger
1. Clawfinger - Zeros & Heroes (5/26/2003)
They must have been in it for the money power and glory, though I think they would have liked a bit more!

Google Finger Eleven
2. Finger Eleven - Finger Eleven (6/17/2003)
Every song is really good and reminds me that there was indeed a whole decade between the 1990s and the 2010s. Classic Finger Eleven!

Google Yellowcard
3. Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue (7/22/2003)
On a trip to Los Angeles I once managed to listen to Ocean Avenue while driving down Ocean Avenue! Empty Apartment is another great song too.

Google The White Stripes
4. The White Stripes - Elephant (4/1/2003)
Everyone knows Seven Nation Army of course, but In The Cold Cold Night is another really awesome song, both of which are on this great album!

Google Ima Robot
5. Ima Robot - Ima Robot (9/6/2003)
My favorite album from a band who managed to successfully convince me that 12 really does equal 3. Their song Alive pairs really well with Red Hot Chili Peppers The Zephyr song and it's hard for me not to think of one without the other.

Google Lake Trout
6. Lake Trout - Another One Lost (8/5/2003)
Stutter, I Was Wrong, Say Something, Another One Lost… all amazing. A very very good album by a great band out of Baltimore.

Google Zebrahead
7. Zebrahead - MFZB (10/21/2003)
Motherfucking Zebrahead, Bitch! The Setup is one of my favorite Zebrahead tracks ever. A great album indeed.

Google Massive Attack
8. Massive Attack - 100th Window (2/10/2003)
100th Window is amazing. Butterfly Caught and Future Proof are the songs to check out first, but really I recommend any Massive Attack on any album!

Google Kosheen
9. Kosheen - Kokopelli (8/11/2003)
All In My Head and Wish are great places to start. Kosheen hasn't failed me yet!

Google The Rasmus
10. The Rasmus - Dead Letters (3/17/2003)
I was first turned onto The Rasmus by catching their video for Guilty on TV in a hotel in Cancun. In My Life and Back In The Picture are also great songs. The whole album is really good!

2003 HONORABLE MENTIONS

Google 311
1. 311 - Evolver (7/22/2003)
Creatures For A While is a pretty good song. Typical 311.

Google A Perfect Circle
2. A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth Step (9/24/2003)
Mer De Noms was better, which could explain why this album lands in my Honorable Mentions section.

Google Yeah Yeah Yeahs
3. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell (4/29/2003)
Black Tongue is one of my favorite Karen O songs ever.

Google Cowboy Mouth
4. Cowboy Mouth - Uh Oh (7/29/2003)
Typical Cowboy Mouth. Uh Oh is a good track to start with.

Google The Unicorns
5. The Unicorns - Who Will Cut Our Hair When Were Gone (11/11/2003)
I love this album to death which makes me wonder who will cut my hair when I'm gone? My favorite Unicorns track is Ghost Mountain, but they are all amazing.

Google Thousand Foot Krutch
6. Thousand Foot Krutch - Phenomenon (9/30/2003)
Throw up your rawk fist for Thousand Foot Krutch! Phenomenon is a pretty good song as well as Rawkfist, the others just OK here.

Google Blue October
7. Blue October - History For Sale (4/8/2003)
A great album including classics like Calling You and Amazing. Blue October for the win!

Google One Minute Silence
8. One Minute Silence - One Lie Fits All (7/7/2003)
One Lie Fits All was a decent album by One Minute Silence. I remember liking them back in 2003 but actually haven't heard much of them since then.

Google Fefe Dobson
9. Fefe Dobson - Fefe Dobson (12/9/2003)
The debut album of Fefe Dobson, the Canadian singer, is great! Stupid Little Love Song, We Went For A Ride, and Bye Bye Boyfriend are my favorites.

Google Brand New
10. Brand New - Deja Entendu (6/17/2003)
A convert to Brand New from their song The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows, I'm a proud Brand New fan. I also especially love the My Tommy Gun song and the Maradona vs Elvis one. Play Crack The Sky may be one of my all-time favorite Brand New songs as well. An amazing album!
